Psalm 13: Howling Faith
Psalm 13: Howling Faith
Crying, How Long? Sighing, How long?
Lord, forget me not always.
Crying, How long? Sighing, How long?
How long will You hide Your face?
Thoughts are howling, Body bowed down,
Sadness saps my energy.
Foes surround me, Mock me soundly,
How long laughs my enemy?
Look on me, Lord, Bow Your ear down.
O, my God, be light to me.
Dead, I’d praise not, Boasters fear not.
Overcome who troubles me!
Crying, How long? Sighing, How long?
Long ago I trusted You.
Then You found me, Wrapped around me
Love that handles all I do.
Thoughts are howling, Body bowed down.
Singing, Lord, I’m in Your hand.
Foes surround me, See Your bounty
While in howling faith I stand!
