Quotes About Betrayal
Have you been backstabbed by a best friend, spouse, or family member? Or maybe you’ve been or know someone who suffered through Gaslighting? Someone manipulates another person they love by using psychological means to question their sanity.
Using trickery and deception to deceive someone is a cruel way to be treated. Moreover, it is harmful and could be setting one up for possible dangerous situations.
And we ask WHY would they deceive me? It is all about PRIDE, JEALOUSY, and SELFISHNESS!
I hope the following quotes will strengthen and encourage you or enable you to help someone else.
“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”
Martin Luther King
“Each betrayal begins with trust.”
Martin Luther
“Don’t tell me what they said about me. Tell me why they were so comfortable to say it around you.”
Unknown- but quoted by many
“What can we say about those who betrayed us? Or did we betray ourselves?”
Darlene J. Harris
”The knives of betrayal and drama cut deep and hurt… but they also trim away the nonsense and reveal your true friends.”
Steve Maraboli
“I am grateful to those who have betrayed me… They thought they were just stabbing me in the back, but they were also cutting me free from their poisonous life.”
Steve Maraboli
What does the Bible say about Betrayalment?
For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray Him.
Mark 13:12 And brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child;
Psalm 55:12-14 For it is not an enemy who insults me— I could have handled that— nor is it someone who hates me and who now arises against me— I could have hidden myself from him— but it is you— a man whom I treated as my equal— my personal confidant, my close friend! We had good fellowship together; and we even walked together in the house of God!
Proverbs 25:9-10 Instead, take up the matter with your neighbor, and don’t betray another person’s confidence. Otherwise, anyone who hears will make you ashamed, and
Judges 16:18-19 When Delilah realized that he had disclosed everything to her, she sent for the Philistine officials and told them, “Hurry up and come here at once, because he has told me everything.” So the Philistine officials went to her and brought their money with them. So she enticed him to fall asleep on her lap, called for a man to shave off his seven locks of hair from his head, and so began to humiliate him. Then his strength abandoned him.
