Branding: God’s Blueprint
The central idea of Branding is to create a relationship. If you have a company, then you have likely created a Brand, be it good or bad.
God, the Author of Branding: God created Branding in the beginning when He created Adam and, later, Eve. This was the start of His relationship with mankind.
Branding has a long history: from branding cattle and horses to dehumanizing people, all was done to show the relationship between the owner and his livestock. The owner’s branding was done to guard and protect against thieves that may come day or night to steal, kill, and destroy. (John 10:10)
God’s Branding has a deeper meaning: for you and for me, God’s Branding determines where we will spend the rest of our lives.
We are an implant, a signature, of God’s Brand: To be an Implant and signature of God is determined by how we bring attention to Him. People who are in the family of Christ have an enormous responsibility and opportunity to do good work. (Philippians 1:6)
Branding is important to show ownership: During historical times, if one duplicated a Brand or forged another’s Brand, it was against the law. The thief would be prosecuted.
God’s Branding is no different: As part of God’s creation, He has a particular regard for us. (Psalm 139) describes how He feels and how well he knows us. We are created for a purpose (Proverbs 16:4) and by a blueprint created by God.
The Blueprint for God’s Brand:
- We are to assure HE is RECOGNISABLE. (Genesis 1:27)
- We can increase the family of God when we are TRUE to HIS CALLING. (John 19:35)
- We demonstrate and REAFFIRM the TRUST we have in HIM. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
- We are the end RESULTS for believing in HIM. (Psalm 91:16)
- We have an emotional connection with HIM because of HIS POWER TO RESTORE our hearts. (Joel 2:25)
- We point to CHRIST to help others by exposing their hearts and persuading them of their dire need for a Savior. (2 Corinthians 4:5)
God’s Branding creates a lasting and loving relationship that will glorify HIM forever!
